Discussing Laurie Gilmore's - Dream Harbor Series

How often do you pick up a book and think to yourself, "I'll just read 1 chapter,

then I will go to sleep." Before you know it, it's 3 hours later, and my goodness, how

am I going to get up for work in the morning?! This is my life at the moment as I read Laurie Gilmore's Dream Harbor Series.

Book 1

We start at The Pumpkin Spice Cafe

Jeanie was a city girl with a boring desk job until her Aunt gifted her the beloved Pumpkin Spice Cafe. The cafe is in a little town called Dream Harbor, a place where everyone knows everyone, and there is no privacy. There, she meets Logan, a local farmer who likes to keep to himself and stay out of small-town gossip. At first, Logan wants nothing to do with the new girl in town (Jeanie), he finds her

irritatingly upbeat, but guess what? Logan just can't stay away from her...

Book 2

We are off to The Cinnamon Bun Book Store

The local Dream Harbor bookstore is where we meet and fall in love with Hazel.

Hazel lives and breathes this beautiful bookstore, where every Sunday they also sell fresh hot Cinnamon Buns, and half the town stops by to line up for the buns. Then, Hazel notices that her perfectly set-up bookshelves are being tampered with, only to discover that someone is leaving messages in books! (Now, picture a scavenger hunt, but with fun activities).

Along comes the outgoing, fun, and, of course, gorgeous, local fisherman, Noah.

Noah has had a secret crush on Hazel for months, so he puts his hand up

to help solve the mystery of the book clues... Wait 'till you read where their

adventures go!...

Book 3

Lands us at The Christmas Tree Farm

Imagine buying a Christmas Tree Farm, but you hate Christmas. (Who even hates Christmas????)

Kira is from a rich family and has a twin. Her twin sister is also her very best friend,

but when her sister moves away and marries, Kira feels like she is missing half

of herself. So what is her solution to this? Oh, that's easy! Go online and buy a

Christmas Tree Farm, in a small town far away, of course. And here is the kicker... Kira hasn't

even seen this place!

Bennett is on vacation in Dream Harbor, visiting his sister, Jeanie, when he accidentally walks his dogs through Kira's Farm and is met with the insufferable, negative Kira.

This book has the main characters desperately trying to dislike each other... until

they don't (teehee)

Book 4

Hello, and welcome to The Strawberry Patch Pancake House (say that 3 times

and not mess up lol)

In my favourite place

World-renowned chef, Archer, who loves his single man life in Paris, discovers that he is actually a dad to a 5-year-old girl, Olive. Olive's mum has passed away, and Archer

has come to Dream Harbor for 1 reason: Sort out custody and get back to his life as a chef in Paris...

Well, that is, until he hires Iris as his nanny while he has to stay for the custody hearing. Iris is an outgoing, flirty, fun, young woman, who turns Archer's life upside

down and inside out... But Archer needs to keep this strictly professional. That should be easy enough. Right???

Hrmmm...

Book 5

So, now I arrive at The Gingerbread Bakery, which tells me that the sweetest things are worth the wait!

I guess we will find out soon enough, because I'm about to jump into bed and promise myself... just one chapter before I go to sleep! (hah!)
