Do you love books and money? Want to find a way to combine your two loves so you can get rich while being bookish? I've got you covered. Read on for your chance to become a bookish billionaire!

This could be you!

12 Get Rich Ideas for Booklovers

  1. Rent yourself out as a Bedtime Story Reader for exhausted parents that have nothing left to give at their kids' bedtime (or adults who need a little help falling asleep).

  2. Sell subscriptions to a book streaming service on the television. People can sit and read books on their couch while looking at their television and control the page turning with their remote. They can even choose from a range of background reading noises, like crackling fire, gentle rain, vacuum cleaner, and someone mowing.

  3. Who needs the Supernanny when you could become a Booknanny and visit families to help their book-averse child(ren) become book-adoring sweethearts who spend all of their time quietly curled up with a book.

  4. Book Insurance - People pay a fee to take out book insurance, then every time they read a book that they don't like, they can get reimbursed for their time. $1000 per annum can get the policyholder $1 for every reimbursed hour.

  5. Hire yourself out as a Book Consultant for wealthy people who need to find their next read/s and don't want to waste their precious time on books they mightn't enjoy. There is also an opportunity to help these people find perfect book gifts (I recommend The Perfect Gift, but I may be a little biased).

  6. Create books with transparent pages so people can read while they walk and not trip over.

  7. Make a bed that can sense when someone is falling asleep and shake them awake again so they can finish reading their chapter.

  8. Create an e-reader that feels like paper with pages that you can turn like a real book.

  9. Create a paperback with changeable ink so that the cover and contents of the book can change into any other book. One book to rule them all!

  10. Become a bookish billionaire booksitter and babysit books while people are away.

Book sitting is so much fun! No nappies to change.
  11. Sell a course on How to get Rich for Booklovers.

  12. Create a business that will read a book for someone and then 'Dumb it Down' for them. A valuable service for students and people who want to sound smart or participate in conversations with book-loving people.

  13. Another business idea- Rent yourself out for Bookish Conversations. $100 per hour for an in-depth conversation about a book of the client's choice. You could charge appearance fees for clubs and events too.

  14. Who wouldn’t want a book organiser? Someone to come and clean, sort and organise bookshelves so books can be seen and found again.

Book sorter/organiser extraordinaire!
