Welcome to my 100th blog post! To celebrate, let's dive into some of the juicy content I've created in the last 100 posts over the last three years, and find out what people have (and haven't) enjoyed.

Total Blog Views: 3,036 (Two-thirds of these views were within the last year, which is a good indicator that my blog is slowly gaining popularity)

Most Popular Day: Tuesday 4th April 2023 - 90 views in one day

Least Popular Blog: What Makes a Book Emotionally Rich? (my most recent blog post has the fewest number of readers so far. Makes sense.)

Longest Reading Time: People spend the most time reading - Being an Indie Author Stallholder at Clunes Booktown Festival

Most Controversial Blog: Traditional and Self-Published Author Incomes - Only 10% of Authors Can Make a Living - I had a few people wanting to debate me on the stats. They were probably right, but I did include my sources in the blog post.

Blog page titled "What is Contemporary Fiction?" by Marley Betts. Pink and green interface with social media icons and navigation menu.

Best Google Search Performance:

Indie Writer Income: How Many Books do I Need to Sell to Make $100,000? 6,778 impressions. People are obviously curious about how much self-published authors make (Answer: Not much).

What is Contemporary Fiction? 6,203 impressions. This was fun to research and probably also my Most Well-Researched Blog).

I also need to point out my Single Guest Post: Discussing Laurie Gilmore's Dream Harbour Series, written by the wonderful Renee Vale (Thank you, Renee!).

I am always open to relevant guest bloggers, so please reach out if you're interested in contributing!

Other Stuff:

Facts:

Why do I write a blog?

I love reading and creating, and I want to connect with other like-minded people who also enjoy books and creativity. I also want people to find my books, comics, and art, share and enjoy them!

Tell me:

Whose blog post has stuck with you the most? Not just mine, but anyone's! Please share it in the comments so that we can all enjoy it.

Also, let me know what you would like me to write a blog post about in the future.

Happy reading!

Much Love,

Marley x
